The New Year will be filled with opportunities to earn a living in an online environment, according to freelance recruitment experts.
Freelancers, umbrella service company contractors, and other self-employed Brits will be gladdened to know that job recruitment experts say that 2013 is expected to bring major work opportunities over the internet. New forecasts for the coming year indicate that businesses both large and small are likely to increase the number of online workers they use, thanks to the ease of access to highly qualified workers, the cost savings of using the internet to fill temporary roles, and the speed in which online workers can be hired.
In fact, one poll of small businesses discovered that an overwhelming 85 per cent of survey respondents felt that it can be competitively advantageous to hire online, especially when it came to cost-saving measures. Taking on a highly qualified and experienced umbrella company worker or freelancer just for the length of one particular project is much more cost-effective than using a permanent worker yet ensures that the quality of the work remains suitably high.
It was also predicted that many newcomers to the online freelancing market will exhibit marked growth in 2013. 25 per cent of university students are expected to do online work in their spare time as they discover that the opportunities are there to make much more money than a job on campus. The flexibility of working as a freelancer also fits in with the other demands of a university student’s lifestyle and leaves plenty of room for attending classes and studying for examinations.
