If you are a wannabe contractor, freelancer or gig worker, then you might be wondering what jobs are available.
“Your Hired!” are the words you want to hear, followed by… “You Can Work From Home.”
Work from home jobs are everywhere nowadays, and if you have the skills, then expect to get the cash to pay the bills…all from the comfort of your house, flat, bungalow, or apartment.
Many people think that working from home is a bit of a holiday. Sure, you can put your feet up and relax a bit (compared to working in a stuffy office), but are you really doing less work? In most cases the answer is no, and in fact, if you work from home then expect to be working around the clock to get important projects finished to keep your clients and employers happy.
So you’ve decided to work from home, have you? Great! Below are 4 in demand work from home jobs you could potentially get hired for…either as a contractor, freelancer or gig worker.
Software developer
For home workers who want to make an above average salary then becoming a software developer is the place to be, right now in 2018.
Forget about commuting to an office though. As a work from home software developer you get to relax in the comfort of your own home, although you will be expected to bring expertise and creativity to the (kitchen) table.
Data analyst
If you enjoy analysing data then a data analyst could be right up your street. Even better, you don’t even have to leave your street to get paid around £50,000 a year.
Simply analyse data for big companies and you could have a work from home job that continues to give you more and more money in your bank account, year after year.
Senior graphic designer
Another work from home job for contractors and freelancers is that of senior graphic designer. All you need is a computer and phone line and you are good to go.
Of course, you need to be talented and know your way around different graphic software programs. Also, you should be creative, and have the ability to “WOW” your clients with excellent graphic designs.
On a side note, anybody who works as a freelancer in the creative industries should consider joining CIF (Creative Industries Federation). This is especially important for people who are quitting their jobs and looking to make a clean break as a freelancer.
Virtual Accountant
The last work from home job that is in demand right now is virtual accountant. Forget about number crunching in some stuffy cubicle…you can now crunch those numbers in your own residence.
Everybody needs a good accountant, which means you can often charge a nice bit of change for your services.
