This summer, it will be easier for many mobile workers thanks to a new 27 town and city technology rollout for 4G wireless technology.
Freelancers, contractors, and umbrella company workers often find themselves on the move, leading to many having to embrace mobile working solutions in order to meet the needs of their clients. To that end, it can be frustrating to be stymied by low speed mobile networking, especially when you need to send that file or download that important document and your internet connection isn’t being cooperative.
However, the new push to roll out the faster, more updated 4G mobile technology from EE means that by this June there will be more than 65 towns that will offer the new services. This is, unsurprisingly, around the same period of time that both O2 and Vodafone say they will begin to offer their own 4G service to customers as well.
The move will result in more than 50 per cent of Brits being covered by 4G said Olaf Swantee, chief executive for EE. This is actually ahead of schedule for the firm, Swantee added, remarking that it indicates the dedication of EE to bring the new technological standard to the UK as quickly and reliably as possible.
The new EE-covered towns will be Woking, Wigan, Warrington, Wells, Royal Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge, Stevenage, Sevenoaks, Reigate, Redhill, Oxford, Oldham, Milton Keynes, Maidstone, Leaherhead, Huddersfield, Horsham, Guildford, Farnbrough, Crawley, Colchester, Camberley, Bracknell, Blackpool, Basingstoke, Basildon, Ashford, and Aldershot.
