We can expect to see an increase in entrepreneurial businesses next year as graduate entrepreneurs create opportunities for their peers, according to experts.
The coalition has high hopes of an entrepreneurial economy in the UK and the higher education system is vital if that dream is to come true, the NCGE says.
Ian Robertson from the NCGE explained that universities have a key role in developing skills and in the global technology savvy world we will find more graduate entrepreneurs emerging. The university system needs to encourage an enterprising attitude across the board to support a new breed of business people, he added.
The graduate umbrella company contractors of the future will make a substantial contribution to the UK economy, Robertson pointed out. They either set up their own business or make vital contributions to existing firms. In addition, they have the ability to transform both the public and charity sectors and develop social enterprises for the good of everybody.
A survey published by Deloitte earlier this month showed that 90% of entrepreneurial businesses expect their revenue to increase next year.
