The PCG is holding Mastermind sessions throughout the UK in the run up to National Freelancers Day (November 23rd).
These free events will be held in Aberdeen, Brighton, Bristol, Edinburgh, Manchester and Watford and could help freelancers and umbrella company contractors to evaluate their career to ensure they are heading in the right direction.
The Mastermind roadshow kicks off at the Britannia Hotel in Manchester on 20th October and contractors wanting to explore ways to optimise rates, land roles and handle relationships with agencies will benefit enormously from attending. As well as opportunities to brainstorm and network, freelancers will be able to make new friends, share ideas and discuss current market trends.
This year’s events follow on from the highly successful inaugural National Freelancers’ Day last year. The event was an enormous success raising the profile of our flexible workforce and celebrating the work done every day by these skilled individuals. It also created a think-tank for sharing ideas. The theme of last year’s event was ‘The Future of Work’ and this year the concept is ‘Freeing up Potential’, promoting the flexibility of freelance work.
The managing director of the PCG, John Brazier has highlighted the fact that freelancing helps to improve a person’s quality of life by providing a better balance between work and personal life.
There are currently about 1.4 million contractors in the UK who generate a turnover of around £82 billion.
