We have a hallway with no windows

Good afternoon. We have a hallway with no windows and it is a cave, lights on at noon every day. Somebody suggested glass doors on the rooms that do have windows, to borrow light into the hall. Sounds clever, but I am not thrilled about the privacy tradeoff, because one of those rooms is the guest bedroom. Are frosted panels actually private enough for a bedroom, or do you end up with a shadow puppet situation? And does glass hold up in a house with kids running through the hallway all day?

Frosted glass is genuinely private, you get shape and light rather than any detail, though if somebody stands directly against it you will know they are there. For a guest room that is fine. For a bathroom I would think harder about which panel type you pick. Tempered glass in a proper frame handles kids without drama, it is the cheap unframed stuff that would worry me.
