Ever accidentally locked your kid in the car? What did you do?

Okay, I need to vent and maybe get some advice. Has anyone ever accidentally locked their kid in the car? I just did, for maybe five minutes, but it felt like an eternity. I ran inside to grab something, and the doors locked somehow. I was able to get back in quickly, but now I’m super shaken up. What did you do in that situation? How do you prevent it from happening again? I need to hear I’m not the only one!

Oh my gosh, that’s terrifying! So glad you got back in quickly. It’s a common fear. If it happened to me I would immediately call an automotive lockout service. If you’re going to require a professional it is important to make sure that the agency that is opening your car has all of the most recent technology so they do not create unnecessary damage to your car. It sounds like you need a locksmith car door opener who is really experienced.

Definitely invest in remote start with automatic door unlock, it has saved me on more than one occasion. I agree, those few minutes probably felt like hours. Modern car systems are supposed to prevent lockouts, but things can still go wrong.
