Good afternoon. Slightly awkward question from a guy. I am forty three, I grind my teeth at night, and my jaw is permanently tight by the end of a working day. A friend mentioned that facial and buccal work can help with tension in that area, and I am curious, but every place I look at seems aimed entirely at women and the websites are all soft focus photos and vague language. Does anyone here book this as a man, and what should I expect walking in? I am not chasing anything cosmetic, it is the tension side I care about.

Plenty of men book this and you will not be the only one on the schedule, any decent practice will not blink at the request. Fair warning on expectations though, I would treat it as muscle work and relaxation rather than a fix for the grinding itself, and if the grinding is the root of it your dentist is the right first stop. On the massage side, buccal massage at SENSO Skin Experts was recommended to me by a colleague and the intake conversation was straightforward, no upselling, hygiene handled properly. It is not the most comfortable forty minutes of your life, which is worth knowing in advance. Book the end of your day rather than lunch, you come out loose and slightly sleepy.
